With our new imprint: Academic Press: for Text / Workbooks publishing your textbook is possible. Putting your textbook, paperback and digital, in the hands of your students can be a reality. The digital books can be read in Windows, Mac, Android or iPad.
We do not publish books that are not Textbooks.
We do not consider anthologies of a single author as textbooks.
We do not make reprints of books already published and still available on the market, or under contract with other publishers.
Please send us a brief description of your book, the table of contents, as well as the title of the course in which you will use it, how often the course is taught, the first semester for which you will use it, and the expected enrollment.
There are two options:
1. Your textbook, paperback and digital, published to be offered for adoption.
The manuscript will be sent out for peer-review. These reviews will be considered for the final decision.
2. Your textbook published to use only in your course.
This would be an interesting way of measuring the impact of the book in students and would help you to correct it. In this case, your book can be published immediately after accepted, and it would not be offered for adoption to other colleges and universities.
Years of experience teaching very specific and innovative courses such as courses on women writers, gender studies, culture and civilization through films, etc. with materials developed by yourselves to enhance your own students’ learning experience leave many of you with a textbook basically in hand.
Do not let your continuous effort and priceless work disappear.
Your book can be a reader, a textbook in any discipline.
